TEFL COURSE (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) As the English language grows worldwide, opportunities to teach English in TORONTO, CANADA or ABROAD has grown with this rise, in demand for English teachers. What do I need to enroll in a TEFL course?
1) You need to be at least 18 years of age
2) Be academically prepared to enter a university and have the qualifications to prove this.
3) If you are a native English speaker you must have a level of English proficiency that enables you to follow the program and satisfactorily complete course requirements.
4) If you are a NONE native English speaker, (have the qualifications & demonstrate your ability to use English). You will require atleast a (CAE) Cambridge Advanced English Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE).
What will I learn on the course?
The course will also give you hands-on teaching practice; working with classes at two levels of ability, creating and working with learning materials and complete written assignments.
A teacher moderates each course and you are assessed throughout the course via your performance in your teaching practice all helping to build your confidence.
Outside of the classroom, you will spend a lot of your free time preparing lessons (2 - 4 hours at night and the weekends).
